My entire extended family moved to Lincoln in the early 1970s. My grandfather, Hollis Ramsey, owned a trucking company and hauled products for Gladding McBean and other local companies for several years. It was a family business. We made Lincoln and Placer County our home. After graduating from Glen Edwards, my parents moved us to Roseville where I attended Oakmont High School. Other than working for my grandfather, my first jobs were at Roller King and The Riverside Drive-in in Roseville.
